Our New Branding

A decade after launching and building a bespoke creative design business from the ground up, Jimmy Patch Creative has grown and undergone a refreshing rebrand to re-emerge as Patch Creative. 

As the business itself has matured and developed it was the right time to enhance the look and feel of the branding to encapsulate this exciting new phase of growth. Daniela, Patch’s new resident graphic designer and illustrator took this opportunity by the horns and did a stellar job of bringing a whole lot of fun and style to the new branding.

“Bold colours and typography of the 1950’s and 1960’s were the main inspiration behind the new branding so we pulled together a lot of vibrant images that we used as a reference to create a custom-made logo. The colour palette was specifically inspired by an image of a matchbox that I came across during my research, that had all these pink, red and blue tones to it that I just loved. The matchbox had a red sun, the rays were pink on this blue box with white text and I thought, ‘Oh wow! This is really cool’.” 

Daniela and Jimmy collaborated on finding a great balance between sleek design and a vibrant energy within the branding that they’re sure clients will really connect with. As Daniela explains, “It’s a little bit playful. We wanted to give that impression of movement, so going with the letters on a varying baseline as well as having sharp edges, it just makes it stand out a little more. I think the new branding is professional and sleek but it still has that quirkiness, which is the essence of Patch Creative”. 

The team at Patch Creative are extremely happy with the refreshed branding and we hope our clients and fans will be too. We feel it gives a bit of a taster of what we’re about and is a showcase of some of the amazing collaboration efforts that our team possesses.
